A thank you note from NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani
The local singer Vik wanted to share her thoughts and sympathy with the citizens of New-York after the September 11th terror attack.
Says Avi Zemach, Vik's manager: " After the disaster and tragic events of Sep. 11th in NYC, when many families lost their loved ones in the WTC collapse, we thought a lot, what we can do or contribute as Israelis' who live in the day
to day reality of terror attacks, to the citizens of New York and their mayor.
We decided to record a special original version to Eva Maria in Latin and dedicated it especially to Mayor Rudy Giuliani who showed brave leadership, and naturally to New Yorkers themselves. I really didn't expect any reply at all from the busiest mayor in the world but to my surprise, about six weeks after sending the CD and letter we received a personal letter from the mayor thanking Vik on behalf of his city for the unique thought and support sent over.
